Captain Warredi Enisuoh, the Director of Technical Operations of Tantita Security Services, has described the challenges they had in capturing a particular vessel engaged in illicit oil theft within the Niger Delta.
He said they found out the ship had banks of ammunition and was outfitted with four AK-47 rifles when they were their route to capture it. He also disclosed that Tantita painstakingly monitored the ship for the course of the operation, which lasted more than a month in the nation.
He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”When we caught this particular ship, we followed it for over a month till we got intelligence that yes, it is in the area. And we left in the morning to make sure that we secured the ship. But on our way there, we got the intelligence that the Ship had got four AK 47 with banks of ammunition on board.
They are becoming smarter, this ship management and owners registered themselves at Odesa in Ukraine. We know if we had revealed a lot at that time, we will not apprehend this ship.”
