The incident occurred on the morning of May 6th, 2025. The woman, who is already struggling with the effects of a stroke, reported that her husband requested intimacy in the early hours, but she did not respond. Later that day, she asked him for money to buy food for herself and their two children. When he ignored her, she checked his wallet, found ₦800, and took it.
According to her, this action enraged the Alfa, who responded with a violent physical attack. The woman sustained severe facial injuries and had to be hospitalized for treatment.
While receiving medical care, the victim confirmed in an interview that her husband had been taken into custody by the authorities. She also revealed a disturbing history of abuse, alleging that his first wife died due to similar violent behavior.
