The David Mark-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expelled factional chairman Nafiu Bala, House of Representatives member Leke Abejide, and eight other party members for alleged anti-party activities and attempts to create confusion and instability.

The motion for their expulsion was moved by Senator Binos Yaroe and seconded by Rep. Abdussamad Dasuki. Those expelled also include Kingsley Temitope, Noman Obinna, Kennedy Odion, and Stella Chukwuma.

Key Points:

The expulsion deepens the leadership crisis within the ADC.
The party now has multiple factions claiming legitimacy.
Nafiu Bala had previously challenged David Mark’s leadership in court.
INEC had earlier derecognised both Mark and Bala factions.
The expulsions may lead to further legal battles.
