Nigerian entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has alleged that the government led by President Bola Tinubu plans to arrest Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, due to his continuous criticism of the administration.Also Read: Click The Link, The Full Video Is Here ]
He stated that any attempt to make an illegal arrest of Peter Obi would be met with strong resistance.
Charly Boy urged the federal government to refrain from any malicious intentions to prevent a backlash from his supporters.
In a post on his social media, Charly Boy wrote:
“There’s a report of an attempt of arrest on Peter Obi, by Tinubu’s Government over Peter Obi’s consistent refusal to back down on calling Tinubu out towards good governance and accountability.
“Any arrest or charges against Obi must be met with a resistance as never seen in the history of Nigeria before, and the Obidients are ready for it. Tinubu’s government must tread with caution not to set this nation on fire with an illegal arrest of HE Peter Obi. We call on Tinubu’s government to desist from her evil plans against Peter Obi because Nigeria will not remain the same.”
His post on his X page (formerly Twitter) has attracted several comments from Nigerians.
@XpaceReporter: Obi is not at fault in any way. He is being too kind in his role as the opposition. Any attempt by the government to silence him will only lead to more resistance against the illegitimate government. They are aware of the consequences of going against Obi and are currently observing the situation to see if the public will continue to remain passive. The government is mindful of their illegitimacy, so they fear Obi’s influence. We must follow in Obi’s footsteps and become more vocal against the government.

However, PO is not above the law, and nothing, absolutely nothing will happen if he is arrested. The worse that can happen is the Monday sit at home in the east may be extended by a day or two. Nobody is above the law.
