Police arrest Seaking over defamatory comments against Pastor Adeboye – Sowore

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has stated that Tiktoker Seaking was re-arrested over his defamatory comments against General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, police re-arrested Seaking and flew him to Abuja.

In a statement issued on his Facebook page, Sowore mentioned that he had just visited the FCID with lawyer Deji Adeyanju, where they were informed that Seaking was arrested over alleged cyberbullying against Adeboye.

Paul James Adama was reported to have filed the petition for his arrest on behalf of Pastor Adeboye.

‘’We just departed the DIG Dasuki Galandanchi-led Federal Investigation Department (FID) of the Nigeria Police Force, where we met Olumide Ogunsanwo aka Seaking, he was in the company of police officers who had traveled to Lagos to kidnap him. Adeyanju Deji and Marshal D F Abubakar we present as lawyers representing @Seaking and standing for @inibehe Effiong!

To our surprise, they disclosed that Olumide’s recent ordeal resulted from alleged cyberbullying against Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, in a TikTok session in December 2024.

According to them, one Paul James Adama,Adejobi Olumuyiwaebulous “Christian association or group” affiliated with Police PPRO Adejobi Olumuyiwa submitted a “petition” to their office on behalf of the General Overseer.

It was discovered that in December 2024, Seaking took to his Tik Tok page to verbally assault Adeboye for wearing military camouflage during the church’s convention in August and for saying Nigerians should be happy that the dollar has increased to N10, 000 to a dollar.
